2019
The Dawn of FaithWay: A Divine Inspiration
FaithWay Church was founded by Pastor Thomas Samuel in 2019 during his visit to New Zealand from India. During his visit to New Zealand to spend time with his children, he was inspired by the Holy Spirit to start a Malayalam & Hindi (Indian regional languages) Pentecostal Church in Tauranga, as none was available. So, pastor Thomas Samuel, his family, and another close family began meeting regularly and worshipping in Hindi and Malayalam for a few months.
A New Shepherd for the Flock
Later during a church conference in Napier in 2019, Pastor Thomas ordained Evangelist Nitin Scaria in service to the Lord and, from thereon, equipped him to lead the congregation. Later just before returning to India, Pastor Thomas Samuel handed over the responsibility of the Church to Evangelist Nitin.
2021
A New Chapter at WaterEdge Hall
Soon after Pastor Thomas left, the two families, Nitin & Jobu’s families, continued meeting regularly at the house. The Lord soon led this small group to move into the WaterEdge Hall at the Tauranga Memorial Park in 2021, and slowly and steadily, the attendance for the meeting has grown ever since.
2024
FaithWay Church Today
Today we are home to many families and youngsters, and God has truly honoured our humble beginnings and has blessed us throughout the last year. Since then, God has been expanding our Church and shaping us to be a light for our community.
FaithWay Church offers various worship services with multilingual meetings (Hindi, English and Malayalam), and we provide an array of activities from Sunday School programs and Outreach to Women’s ministries.

At Faithway Church, we believe in Father the Creator, Jesus the Savior, and the Holy Spirit the Helper. Our faith is rooted in Matthew 28:19.

Our Mission
Our mission is to share God's love and truth with everyone. We strive to live out the teachings of Jesus, helping those in need and fostering a community of faith. We are committed to growing together in our spiritual journeys, guided by the Holy Spirit.
